Conceive Magazine and ConceiveOnline are intended for any woman contemplating or actively trying to start or expand a family: by natural conception, fertility treatments and assisted reproductive technologies, or adoption. We are not focused on pregnancy or parenting, although we do cover early (first trimester) pregnancy in the magazine and online.

Conceive Magazine is published 5 times a year. We receive many article queries, but can only use a small percentage of what we receive from freelance writers and women with personal stories to tell. The vast majority of our writers are professional journalists who specialize in covering women’s health topics.

Many health and medical professionals have expressed interest in writing for Conceive. In general, we prefer to have professional journalists contribute articles, and use medical professionals as expert sources. Our reporters interview many experts in a field to present a varied and balanced view of a topic. All articles are fact-checked for accuracy before publication. Medical professionals who regularly write for a lay audience, or who have written a book for the general public, may sometimes be published in Conceive.

Submissions:

All submissions and PR/news items should be sent to the editor-in-chief through the “Contact us” link on the home page.

If you have a personal story to tell, please know that because of the volume of submissions we receive, we cannot respond to every story. But if your story is chosen to be featured in the magazine, we will be in touch.

If you are a professional freelance writer interested in writing assignments for Conceive, you’re welcome to submit your article query by email if you can accompany your idea with a resume and samples of your work either attached or available online.

All other queries should be posted by regular mail. Please send samples of your published work, a resume or description of your publishing career, and a few story ideas (no completed articles, please) to:

Thank you for your interest in Conceive.
