The Cycle That Almost Wasn’t

He said: I can’t believe it’s already day 9 into this cycle.

She said: I know! I’m just relieved that we were able to get this far.  When they discovered that large cyst on day 3, I was sure that we were going to be benched this cycle.  Fortunately it was a non-estrogen producing cyst, so I was able to go ahead.

He said: Yes, and once again I’ve proved myself useful giving you the injections!

She said: You sure have!  I hate getting them but I must say you do a darn good job.

He said:  Thanks.  So you shared the good news with me today that there are already two maturing follicles for this IUI.  Normally you respond quite slowly to the meds, what’s different this time?

She said:  Well, I think the protocol of meds has worked better for me this round.  But I also want to give credit to Circle+Bloom!

He said: You’ve been listening to the Circle+Bloom program each night before bed.  How has it been helping?

She said: Well I’ve been sleeping better for one!  I’m usually really anxious on nights before ultrasounds but I’ve honestly been falling asleep quite quickly and very soundly.  I have enjoyed the relaxation aspects of it for sure but I also really appreciate the positive thinking behind it.

He said:  Do you think that’s helping your response to everything?

She said: Well I’d like to think so!  I just feel better about this cycle. I don’t have that sense of dread and those feelings of “I’m not going to respond well to the medication,” or “this isn’t going to work.”  I’m really grateful that Circle+Bloom agreed to partner with us so I could experience their program firsthand! I’m definitely enjoying it!

He said: So for a cycle that almost wasn’t, this is turning out pretty good so far!  Infertility can’t bring us down without a fight.
