P is for... |

He said: What’s up, hon? You have a frustrated look on your face. She said: Ugh, I am frustrated. I’m also angry. To be honest, I’m frustrated, angry, and irritated. He said: Uh oh. PMS? She said: Really? Do you really want to go there? But no, my darling, it is not PMS. He said: Okay, well, to risk getting myself into even more trouble, is it your period? If it’s your period, this is a good thing. It means we can get back to fertility treatments. She said: I wish! If only “p” was for period in this case. In my case, “p” is for PCOS and it may as well be for Provera as well. He said: Provera? She said: It’s a medication that helps bring your period on. Often women with PCOS and other fertility issues have to take it to bring on a period. He said: Well, I guess sometimes you have to do what you have to do, right? She said: Possibly. But sometimes this whole PCOS thing really frustrates me. I mean I can tell my body is trying to have a period on its own but it just doesn’t seem to want to get there. Surely some of my other PCOS girls out there get this? He said: It may not be the way you wanted to start a new cycle, but it will get us there. She said: It will. But I’ve got to warn you, that Provera really does give me some pretty nasty PMS. We’re talking a seriously pissy mood. <silence> She said: Umm, hon? What are you doing with those pillows? He said: Building a fort. I have a feeling I’m going to be in hiding for the next little while! Comments (4)

... hope the 1st p doesn't get in the way of getting the 2nd p for much longer, but it's ok to use the other p if you need to! |

... OMG - Provera is the WORST! It made me so full of rage when I took it. I asked my doctor for something different, and he gave me Progesterone (shot form is easiest for me). |
