Embracing Adoption

The past 2 weekends have been spent traveling to see our families. Nothing like going from Northern America to Southern within a 2 week span!

It is always nice to see everyone and catch up on the happenings of everyone's lives. Of course one of the main topics now when we all get together is our adoption process and the status of our little pup. They are all so excited and in love with our little one already. Our biggest fans are my grandparents in Florida. They are so cute, telling everyone they will be great grandparents and that we are adopting. They are so proud of the adoption and beam with excitement! It is great to have this kind of love and support!

We decided a few months ago that we would not share the names we had decided on. We figured since the sex of the baby would be very hard to keep a surprise, especially after we receive our referral pictures, we would at least keep the names on the down low. They know we have the names picked and to be honest, I think it is killing them all. Both sides of our families are full of questions, which is to be expected, but they really want to know the names! I think they even try to reword their questions to see if we let them slip!

But it's fun. It's fun to see how our families are really embracing the idea of our little one and how we can tell already that my grandparents and our father's will be wrapped around our pups little finger! We can see our mother's will be the calm cool grandparents, our dad's on the other hand; the crazy, fun, playing around grandfather's!

It is great to see how our families have evolved over this almost year period and are truly loving and embracing our adoption!
