Now is not the time to go for the burn; exercise in moderation is the smartest course of action. “Excessive exercise creates a lot of adrenaline, which is interpreted by the body as stress,” explains Ronald Wilbois, M.D., medical director of the Infertility and IVF Center inSt. Louis. “Unfortunately, Mother Nature can’t interpret stress and then act selectively. So excessive exercise leads to ovulatory dysfunction.” Translation: Working out too much means you might not be able to produce good eggs.
