Why Women Should Use Natural Fertility Options First

Infertility is a growing problem, with over 80 million people worldwide experiencing difficulty conceiving. Conventional treatments are not only expensive but also invasive and painful, plus they carry significant health risks to both mother and baby.

While celebrities and wealthy couples can afford the prices, many others struggle to pay for treatments that can cost thousands of dollars. Even couples who can afford IVF (in vitro fertilization) are starting to question whether the potential health complications for mother and child are worth it. Some international experts are advising that children born through IVF be monitored into adulthood, as there is no longterm data on their health as adults. And scientists warn of the risks to women’s health from high doses of hormones used in fertility treatments—especially the risk of uterine cancer later in life. There’s an increased call in the scientific community that these treatments be used only after all other possibilities for conception have been exhausted.

Conventional medical treatments don’t address many of the factors—such as nutritional deficiencies, stress, toxin exposure, food intolerances, allergies, and immune deficiencies--that can have an impact on the quality of eggs and sperm. All of these can affect the ability to conceive and the health of the developing embryo.

There’s growing evidence that many couples who can’t conceive suffer from a combination of conditions that can’t cause infertility alone, but in combination can substantially reduce the possibility of pregnancy. For example gluten intolerance alone can’t cause infertility, but the resulting inflammation in the gut can minimize the absorption of nutrients, which can lead to deficiencies in the nutrients required for optimal hormone prodeuction and a healthy pregnancy.

In addition, exposure to heavy metals, radiation, and toxic chemicals in some foods, drugs and other products can lead to DNA damage. And recent nutrigenomic (study of the effects of nutrients on gene expression) research suggests that what we eat can influence our gene structure and expression.

There’s a misconception that egg and sperm quality can’t be influenced. In fact, during the time sperm and egg cells are formed and matured, everything the couple ingests, inhales, or is exposed to will influence the health of those eggs and sperm for better or worse. If couples just dive into IVF without first optimizing their health and the quality of their eggs and sperm, they risk health complications and malformations.

On the other hand, if four months before conception (the time it takes for a new sperm to form and eggs to mature) the couple undergoes a natural fertility preconception program, these risks will be minimized; in most cases IVF won’t be necessary. And when IVF is still required, studies have shown that combining the natural fertility approach with IVF may nearly double the pregnancy rate from 25 to 47 percent.

The natural fertility approach has been shown to be successful in enabling four out of five previously infertile couples to get pregnant and minimize the risk of miscarriages and other complications. Natural fertility treatments not only cost a tiny fraction of their counterparts in conventional medicine, but they also work on the actual barrier to getting pregnant. Multiple studies from reputable institutions such as Harvard demonstrate the effectiveness of natural fertility methods.

Thank you!
Thank you soooo much for sharing this info. I knew there was a lot that can be done without the drugs and IVF, that simply wasn't being shared. More such information should be given to couples trying to conceive. Tell us more!smilies/smiley.gif
