One easy way to get the daily dose of folic acid in your diet is to eat a bowl of cereal that’s been enriched with 100 percent of the RDA of folic acid.

Read the label to see if the cereal has folic acid added, and if so, how much. Some brands that do contain 100 percent are General Mills’s MultiGrain Cheerios, Kellogg’s Special K, Kashi’s Heart to Heart, and Quaker Oatmeal Squares.
