Q. I know that men are supposed to keep their testicles cool to maximize their fertility—is there anything comparable for women?

A. Nope. Men’s testicles are outside the body to keep them cooler than the internal body temperature of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Sperm don’t like it that warm, and that’s why men are often advised not to warm up their testicles by wearing tight-fitting nylon underwear, soaking in hot tubs, taking long, hot baths, sleeping on a warm waterbed, or even sitting for long drives without getting up frequently to allow air to circulate.
