In the spirit of Father’s Day – it’s coming up next Sunday, June 19 – Conceive Online wanted to round up some good resources just for guys hoping to be dads:
FertilityAuthority.com has a special section of its site on the male fertility workup (what to expect if you’ve never undergone one before); a summary of medical causes of male infertility; a look at psychological issues and treatment options; and options for emotional support. FertilityAuthority also has a forum for husbands dealing with infertility.
For a guy’s take on how to handle not getting pregnant (including how to support your wife), check out this MSNBC.com article about Marc Sedaka’s book, What He Can Expect When She’s Not Expecting. (Don’t miss the list of 10 things never to say to a “fertility-challenged” wife. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/42096898/ns/today-books/t/whats-guy-expect...) In a similar vein is Greg Wolfe’s How to Make Love to a Plastic Cup: A Guy’s Guide to the World of Infertility, which debuted last August.
For two good resources for the basics when it comes to medical matters, check out MayoClinic.com and WebMD’s guide.
Do you have resources to recommend? Please share them with other readers at Conceive Online!
