Q. My doctor just started me on Clomid. Are there medications I should avoid while I’m using this drug?

A. Clomid (clomiphene citrate) is a prescription medication used to stimulate ovulation and help women get pregnant. While there haven’t been any drug interactions reported with Clomid, you should try to avoid taking medications (other than prescribed fertility medications) while you’re trying to conceive unless specifically okayed by your doctor. That’s because some medications can be harmful to the developing baby, especially in the first few weeks of pregnancy, before you may even realize you’re expecting.
