If you’re fortunate enough to live in the Chicago area, you likely already know about Pulling Down the Moon, a small chain of centers that focuses on the healing benefits of yoga and healthy living for infertility. Co-founders Beth Heller and Tami Quinn, who are also authors of Fully Fertile: A Holistic 12-Week Plan for Optimal Fertility, have just come out with a new book, The Infertility Cleanse: Detox, Diet and Dharma for Fertility (Findhorn Press $18.95), that’s designed to share their three-part program with those who can’t make their way to the authors’ Illinois centers (they also have a branch in Maryland).

The book – or manual, as they like to call it – argues the authors’ belief that toxicity on all levels (physical, mental, and spiritual) is of huge importance to women and couples who can’t conceive. Their answer is an integrative approach that reduces toxins and focuses on acupuncture, diet, yoga, and massage for creating the optimal environment for conception. The three-part program in The Infertility Cleanse will walk you though incorporating yoga, healthy eating, and stress reduction into your daily life. To read an excerpt of Quinn and Heller’s new book, click here. You can also watch this short video to find out more about why they wrote it. And if you’re already reading The Infertility Cleanse, we want to hear what you think!

Tell Us: Do you incorporate acupuncture, yoga, massage, and/or healthy eating into your life as part of your efforts to conceive? If so, do you think they’re helping you?
