9 Ways to Boost Your Fertility

A regular menstrual cycle is one sign of fertility. “Stress, depression, being under- or overweight can all affect menstruation,” says Dr. Kim. If you’ve got those issues under control but your periods are still irregular, consult your physician. “There may be a medical problem—such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a thyroid disorder, or other hormonal imbalance—that can be treated to get your periods back on track,” she says. If you’ve always had semi-irregular periods, Dr. Kim suggests using an ovulation predictor kit to help you time intercourse for conception.
